Shipping policy
Last updated: March 2026
Every Flavia Nasser product is shipped from Brazil. Here's everything you need to know about how your order gets to you.
1. Carriers
We ship internationally via two trusted global carriers:
- DHL Express — our recommended carrier. Includes customs clearance, real-time tracking, and On Demand Delivery (reschedule or redirect your delivery at any time).
- FedEx — full international coverage with multiple service tiers to fit your timeline and budget.
Both carriers offer full door-to-door delivery and handle customs clearance as part of their standard service. All packages are tracked from the moment they leave our facility.
2. Shipping Timelines
Estimated transit times after dispatch from Brazil:
| Service | Estimated transit |
|---|---|
| DHL Express Worldwide | 2 to 5 business days |
| FedEx International Priority | 1 to 3 business days |
| FedEx International Economy | 2 to 5 business days |
| FedEx International Connect Plus | 4 to 11 business days (most economical) |
Shipping times are estimates. Customs processing in your country may affect actual delivery dates. Flavia Nasser is not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities.
3. Shipping Terms — Incoterm DAP
All international orders are shipped under Incoterm DAP (Delivered at Place), meaning:
- Flavia Nasser is responsible for all costs and risks until the package arrives at your delivery address.
- Customs clearance formalities upon arrival in your country, and any associated duties or taxes, are the buyer's responsibility.
4. Customs Duties & Import Taxes
4.1 General Rule
In accordance with international trade regulations and the Incoterms 2020 (International Chamber of Commerce), any import duties, customs fees, VAT (Value Added Tax), or other charges applicable in the country of destination shall be the sole responsibility of the buyer.
The exporting company has no control over such charges and shall not be held liable for any additional costs arising from the customs clearance process in the buyer's country. It is strongly recommended that the buyer consult the local customs authorities prior to placing the order.
Please note that for international orders, your package may be subject to inspection by customs authorities and import duties. This process is handled by the local customs office and is beyond our control.
If your order is taxed, any customs fees, import taxes, or postal handling charges are the buyer's responsibility. We recommend being aware of this possibility before completing your purchase.
4.2 United States
Products shipped to the United States via DHL or FedEx are typically processed as informal entries. The US De Minimis threshold is US$800 — orders below this value are generally exempt from import duties. No additional sales tax is expected for standard-volume orders from foreign sellers without a US presence.
4.3 European Union
EU customs may apply a reduced VAT rate to books and printed materials. Rates vary by member state and product, generally ranging from 7% to 23%.
4.4 MERCOSUL (Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay)
Import duties and VAT may apply. Rates vary significantly by country. For Argentina, packages over 2 kg or valued above US$200 may require in-person customs pickup at a designated post office.
5. Tracking
A shipping confirmation email with your tracking number and a direct tracking link will be sent as soon as your order is dispatched. Both DHL and FedEx provide real-time tracking updates.
6. Insurance
Standard DHL and FedEx shipments include complimentary cargo protection for declared values up to US$100. For higher-value orders, additional insurance can be arranged upon request.
7. If Your Package Is Held at Customs
- Check your tracking status for messages such as "held at customs," "awaiting clearance," or "pending documentation."
- Check your email or mailbox for an official customs notice with specific instructions.
- Contact your carrier (DHL or FedEx) — they can confirm what documents or payments are needed.
- Pay any applicable duties as instructed by customs or your carrier.
- Email us at hello@flavianasser.com — we'll provide any available export documentation to support your clearance.
8. Refused or Undeliverable Shipments
If a package is refused at delivery or returned due to unpaid customs duties, we are not obligated to refund the product or original shipping cost. Any return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility.
